Writing : Illegal immigration | Raisons and Solutions
Introduction
The
phenomenon of clandestine immigration from African countries to European
countries has grown in the last decade.
In the face of the encroachment of hordes of clandestine migrants,
transit and receiving countries have closed their borders and strengthened land
and sea control measures. But to what extent are these solutions working?
Body
Perhaps the
most accurate word for this phenomenon is not "migration" but
"social displacement" given the huge numbers of women and men, young
people trying to cross to the other bank, where they believe the promised
paradise. In the face of the steady and
rapid rise in the number, European countries have adopted a security policy
based on closing borders and preventing the leakage of migrants, while at the
same time exerting pressure on transit countries such as Morocco to adopt the
same policy. Thus, the European Union
funded its soldiers with the latest technology, including cameras, electronic
barriers, weapons, helicopters and helicopters tasked with limiting the
infiltration of human remains coming from the jungles of Africa. But will this arsenal succeed in fighting
clandestine immigration?
Hardly a day
goes by without television channels and electronic newspapers showing us
pictures of rickety boats filled with people whose faces appear to be poverty
and exhaustion, most of whom come from sub-Saharan Africa and some Maghreb
countries. Although the bodies of many
migrants settle on the bottom of the sea or rot on the rocks of European
shores, thousands of young people are not afraid to ride the dangerous sea
waves and hope to reach the other bank.
Indeed, large numbers of them are able to reach their destination,
although many boats and boats are blocked by soldiers and coast guards. However, clandestine immigrants are on the
rise. This means the failure of Europe's security policy in confronting the
dilemma of clandestine immigration, which is heavily criticized by human rights
organizations and bodies.
The most
effective way to curb the flow of clandestine migrants is to eliminate the
factors that drive one to leave one's homeland, children and parents to venture
into the hell of African deserts towards the Strait of Gibraltar and then cross
the depths of the sea not only in boats, but also on wooden planks. The causes of clandestine immigration vary
mainly from economic to political. The grinding wars that tear the continent
apart paralyze the economy and limit the possibilities for growth and
development. Moreover, the continent's
rich natural resources are exploited by major international corporations in
collusion with the military junta that perpetuates poverty, illiteracy, famine
and underdevelopment. Europe bears a great responsibility for Africa lagging
behind human civilization, so it must work to lay the foundations for democracy
and boost the economy: this is how to encourage young people to stay in their
countries of origin and discourage them from clandestine immigration.
Conclusion
In short,
the security policy pursued by European countries will fail, if not fail, as
evidenced by the increasing numbers of clandestine migrants. To eradicate this phenomenon, Europe must use
the exorbitant funds it spends to arm its African tyrant allies and equip its
soldiers to control the borders in projects for the continent's economic,
political and social development.
