Write an article to your school magazine about why some students take up smoking and what effect this can have on their lives.
First of all, smoking is dangerous for both physical and mental health. Unluckily a lot of students take up smoking for many reasons, which leads to bad results. So, what are some of these causes? What are their effects? How can all this be solved?
Reasons why students smoke
To start with causes, there is poverty as a major pretext; In fact, many students believe that smoking can be a solution to escape the miserable status they live in. They take up this bad habit and step by step they indulge into drugs and other vices. There are other factors like bad friends, familial problems, blind imitation of celebrities and lack of smoking risk.
Effects of smoking on students
Concerning effects, most of these students end up suffer from a lot of sicknesses and health difficulties, like heart attacks respiratory problems and different kinds of cancers. They also start dropping out of school and resort to theft and robbery to cover the expenses of cigarettes, drugs and alcohol. Their future is unsure and maybe suicide or prison is the last station in their adventures.
Suggested solutions to reduce smoking among students
As far as solutions are concerned. I advise these students to practice sport and stop smoking. They have to choose good friends and whenever they get stuck in a problem they should tell their for no matter how big the generation gap is between them, they are the wisest friends to consult or reveal secrets to.
